Setting up TVPikoma on Windows PC and Mac, one step at a time
Option one: the desktop Smarters app
Go to the official IPTV Smarters website, download the edition for Windows or macOS and run the installer. Open the program, choose Login with Xtream Codes API and fill in the server URL, username and password from TVPikoma. Live channels, films, series and the guide each get their own section.
Option two: VLC and the M3U link
Download VLC from videolan.org and install it. Windows users choose Media, Open Network Stream, or press Ctrl+N. Mac users choose File, Open Network, or press Cmd+N. Paste the M3U address and click Play. Press Ctrl+L to show the playlist, where the search box filters channels by name as you type.
Option three: watch in a browser
Your activation message contains a web player address. Open it in Chrome, Edge or Safari and sign in with the username and password. Nothing gets installed, which makes this the right choice on a work laptop where software downloads are locked.
Find your home-country groups quickly
In Smarters, open Live TV and choose the group for your country or language, then add daily channels to Favourites. In VLC, type a country or channel name into the playlist search field, which narrows thousands of rows almost instantly. Saving a shorter playlist file is possible, but it will not update when channels change.
Set guide times and menu language
Guide times follow the computer clock. On Windows, open Settings, Time & language, Date & time and check the zone. In Smarters, EPG Timeshift under Settings nudges a guide by whole hours. VLC on Windows lets you choose another menu language under Tools, Preferences, Interface, which helps relatives who prefer their first language.
Help 4K channels play smoothly
Plug the computer into the router with a network cable and pause cloud backups or large downloads. In VLC, go to Tools, Preferences, Input / Codecs and change Hardware-accelerated decoding to Automatic. That hands the heavy work to the graphics chip and keeps older laptops cooler.
Add a second user for another person
Flatmates or relatives with their own TVPikoma login can share the same computer without mixing favourites. In desktop Smarters, open the list of users from the dashboard, add a new user and enter the second details. Switch profiles from that list whenever the other person sits down to watch.
Send the picture to a bigger screen
On Windows, press Win+K to cast the whole display to a Miracast-ready television or adapter. On a Mac, AirPlay mirrors to an Apple TV or AirPlay-compatible set. An HDMI cable from laptop to TV is even simpler and avoids wireless lag, which is ideal for a full evening of viewing.
Windows PC and Mac not working? Fixes for the usual problems
VLC lists channels but shows no video
Big playlists need a moment to process. Wait until the playlist panel stops filling, then double-click a channel. When a single channel refuses to start, try its HD or SD alternative before deciding the account itself is at fault.
Windows stops the Smarters installer
SmartScreen can flag the download as unfamiliar. Make sure the file came from the official IPTV Smarters website, then select More info followed by Run anyway. Avoid players offered through pop-up download pages, which frequently hide adware.
Voices are out of step with lips
In VLC, the J and K keys shift audio in small steps until speech lines up. In Smarters, restart the channel. If one stream keeps drifting, switching to another quality of the same channel normally fixes it.
The web player will not log in
Browsers sometimes fill in an outdated password on their own. Delete the saved entry and type the details by hand. Also make sure no other screen is streaming, since a 1-device plan refuses a second session.
macOS will not open the downloaded player
Gatekeeper blocks apps it does not recognise. After confirming the installer came from the official IPTV Smarters website, open System Settings, Privacy & Security, scroll down and choose Open Anyway beside the blocked app. Then launch it again from the Applications folder.
The laptop fan roars and 4K stutters
Software decoding of 4K pushes older processors hard. Enable hardware decoding in your player, plug the laptop into mains power and close browser tabs. If the stutter continues, pick the FHD or HD copy of the channel, which looks sharp on a laptop screen anyway.
Some channels have no sound in VLC
Check that VLC is using the right output under Audio, Audio Device, especially with headphones or a monitor attached. Then open Audio, Audio Track and choose another track if one is listed. Updating VLC to the latest version adds support for more audio formats.

Bring home-country TV to your Windows PC and Mac
TVPikoma plans start at $15 a month: 25,000+ live channels from 60+ countries, 4K, FHD and HD streams, and catch-up. The login reaches you on WhatsApp in under 15 minutes.
IPTV on Windows PC and Mac: frequently asked questions
Is there a TiViMate version for Windows or Mac?
There is no official TiViMate build for either system. Some online guides suggest an Android emulator, but the result is awkward and taxes the processor. On a computer, desktop IPTV Smarters Pro or VLC with your M3U link gives a cleaner way to browse the whole TVPikoma line-up.
Where is the safe place to download IPTV Smarters Pro for PC?
Use only the official IPTV Smarters website, which hosts installers for both Windows and macOS. Unofficial download portals often attach adware or offer stale versions. After installation, log in with the Xtream details in your TVPikoma activation message, and live channels, catch-up and films appear just as they would in a TV app.
Can a laptop and a TV stream at the same time on one plan?
Yes, provided your plan includes two devices or more. A 1-device plan permits a single live stream, so opening a channel on the laptop ends playback on the TV. With the 2, 3 or 5 device plans, separate screens run together, which suits homes where one person watches local TV and another follows news from home.
Is Kodi a good alternative player on a computer?
Kodi suits people who enjoy customising. Add the PVR IPTV Simple Client add-on, paste the M3U link and enter the guide address. Its EPG time shift setting moves listings anywhere from minus 12 to plus 14 hours. Smarters or VLC is quicker for most viewers, while Kodi shines on a PC connected to a big screen.
Can I record a programme from home on my computer?
VLC can save what is playing. On Windows, turn on View, Advanced Controls, and a record button appears under the video. Recordings land in your Videos folder. Only record for personal viewing, and remember the stream keeps using one device slot on your plan for as long as it runs.
Can I watch TVPikoma on a Chromebook?
Most recent Chromebooks run Android apps from Google Play, so you can install IPTV Smarters Pro and sign in with your Xtream details. Chromebooks without Play Store support can use the web player link from your activation message instead. Either way, the channels and guide are the same as on a TV.
